The National Consortium for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) Ghana has selected six (6) non-profit founders into this year’s Non-Profit Leaders (NPL) Fellowship Academy. The Non-profit leaders Fellowship Academy seeks to equip its fellows with necessary knowledge and tools to actively act as catalysts in the economic and societal development of countries such as Ghana.
During their One-year incubation program, these outstanding founders will go through a series of mentoring and training programs which will help them identify pressing issues within the society that can be transformed into social enterprises.
This cohort will work directly with NCVO Ghana and a team of selected experts within the incubation period which is in three phases and will nurture their ideas, find solutions, business model and needed investments for upscaling.
According to NCVO Ghana, nonprofit organizations are rooted in the community and are aware of societal problems. It also believes that if nonprofit organizations are given the support they need, they can become a sustainable social enterprise with a strong emphasis on the development of respectable jobs, they have the potential to become more and more sustainable.
The Ghanaian organization investing in Ghanaian-led solutions – KGL FOUNDATION is sponsoring the maiden cohort.
The six (6) selected non-profit leaders are; Akorfa Ama Akoto, Founder of Spring-UP Global Network, Ohenewaa Constance Ankomah of Erudite Womens’ Empowerment Foundation, Ernest Quarm of Gomoa Sports For Change, Christiana Ama Boakye of Benignant Youth Ghana, Priscilla Fynn of Dada Foundation and Adul-Razak Umar Kasim of YETS Ghana.
