Ghana’s Trey Haun has won two medals at the Unicycling World Championship in France.
15-year old Trey, who represented Ghana at Unicycling World Championship in France made history when he won silver in the 30m Wheel Walk Race for 15-16 year old males and bronze in the 50m One-Wheel Race for 15-16 year old males.
Trey’s father, William Haun, celebrated his son’s historic wins with multiple tweets and said:
“This boy of mine took two Unicycling World Championship medals for Ghana – the nation’s first. I couldn’t be more proud of him for all his hardwork and perseverance!”
His father, who speaks Mampruli frequently says his family will be presenting the medals to the Overlord of Mamprugu, Nayiiri Naa Bohagu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga, the king who named his son “Manboora”.
Haun’s family have been living in Ghana’s North East Region for the past 8 years as career missionaries with the International Mission Board (IBM) who are making Christ known to the good people of northern Ghana through medical care, volunteer coordination, pastoral ministry, discipleship, and personal evangelism.
